Hi, I’m Akina Salazar! I’m a designer based in San Francisco, originally from Santa Clara, California. I’m currently studying design at the University of San Francisco, with a minor in UX/UI (User Experience and User Interface). 

I’ve been designing my whole life whether that was drawing Pokémon as a kid, or creating posters for my favorite bands in the present. I started to develop my design skills more proficiently in high school after I took Digital Media and AP 2D Studio Art. I decided I wanted to study design due to my love and passion for creation. 

Music is one of my main inspirations for designs. I love to incorporate lyrics, instruments, and musical themes. Some of my favorite artists include Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys, and Rehash. If you look closely, you can find the influence of music in almost all of my works. 

When I’m not designing you can find me playing my guitar, drawing, or skating. All of my hobbies serve as a great outlet to ignite my creative mind for design ideas.
