I was commissioned to make a few pixel portraits for a client with the goal of keeping it small and simple yet customized and recognizable. My first step of the process was to sketch out the characters on paper then go into photoshop and transfer that design in a pixel format. Each pixel for the portraits is meticulously placed to characterize each person uniquely. Accessories can bring a portrait to life and really make it your own. For example, the necklace and guitar on the first portrait, or the honda logo on the shirt in the last portrait.
